I know this Rob Pruitt x Jimmy Choo collaboration has been out for a minute now but I just wanted to shed some light on it today. This collection is full of fun details and colorful little surprises. The contemporary artist designed 18 styles of shoes, bags, and accessories featuring his angel / devil pandas. Pruitt says that the duo pandas symbolize the dual personalities of the Jimmy Choo woman: the classic good girl and her bad girl double play.

Over the past weekend I had this great encounter with a San Franciscan. We had one of those conversations where our souls connected and we covered a plethora of topics but the most profound was our talk on art. We discussed the power of art and how it goes deeper than just the physical act of viewing a piece. Art is something you experience and feel within you. It evokes emotion and speaks to you. You may love or hate a work but a least  you felt something and next time ask yourself why you felt this way.

One quite riveting exhibition suggested to me by the San Franciscan was The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk at the De Young museum in SF. The technology and hologramming on top of Gaultier’s parade of fashion through the ages makes this exhibit a MUST EXPERIENCE.

Here’s a sneak peak of the special exhibition going on now until August, 19 2012.
