I had so much fun celebrating Norway’s Constitution Day the 17th of Mai (May) at the Moods of Norway boutique on Melrose in Los Angeles. The day was full of great fashion, good eats, and lots of dancing, singing and drinking. As an American, let me just say that Norwegians know how to party and all of us here in the US of A need to learn a thing or two from these Scandinavians. First off, everyone comes ready to celebrate in smart pulled together ensembles, especially the guys, most wearing impeccably fitting blazers and button downs all by Moods of Norway. This brand is mostly known for their fun prints and meticulous attention to detail and they are not only a mega brand in Norway they are also taking the US by storm. Moods of Norway is a widely popular choice among Hollywood A-Listers and their mens suiting is often spotted at major red carpet events.
Yesterday’s festivities were hosted by the MoN co-owner Stefan Dahlkvist (as seen above with celeb stylist Okera Banks). Stefan, Okera and I all dawned happy pieces from the Moods of Norway SS15 collection. I haven’t done a print, on print, on print (I think you get the picture but one more for good measure) on print, in a while but these clothes crave to be pattern mashed so thats exactly what I did. For shoes, I kept things strappy and for my bag I chose a black and white star M Missoni that slightly echoed my top. All in all – I suppose the moral to this story is that I had a great time at the celebration and Moods of Norway really does make “happy clothes for happy people” just like they state on fun little patches sewn inside their garments.
