Happy 4th of July!!
Happy 4th of July!!
Over the weekend one of my favorite local boutiques had its grand opening. Carrie and Murphy Martines own The Celect, an independent men’s and women’s retailer fit for international fashion enthusiasts. Their collections are are bold, eye catching and just plain fun to wear. The opening was a success and brought out some of the most fashionable locals. That same night my friend Renee, of Hanger Shortage, and I also caught the opening of the Greg Mike exhibit now at Dax Gallery. The art work was fun and colorful. Its worth stopping by if you’re in Costa Mesa.
Last weeks Chloé event to celebrate the opening of their renovated boutique at South Coast Plaza was simply gorgeous. Guests shopped and and socialized to the sounds of French DJ SoKo before making their way to Chloé’s main fall fashion preview.

Lets face it black & white isn’t going anywhere but do try and mix your mediums. I paired these textured shorts with a clean striped crop top and added a crazy statement necklace for the focal point. However you choose to black & white it’s always a excellent base for those pieces you want to steel the show.

As a stylist I come to know and work with some pretty amazing brands and Lili Claspe Jewelry is one of those brands that never ceases to amaze me. Each piece is designed and created by hand (with love) in Huntington Beach. As a local brand Lili Claspe pieces have been spotted on some of the leading supermodels anywhere but local. I love that Lili Claspe has a perfect mix of delicate daintier pieces witch can be layered up and statement stunners, which steal the show. I opted for the show stealer with this somewhat futuristic and post apocalyptic look. As you can see I am drawn to anything colorful and reflective so the Arrow Rose collection was right up my alley. I paired my Arrow Rose pendant with some gold plated shark tooth studs and gold hand chain. My dress with its tie-dye and cutouts just felt right paired with metallic objects so I broke out the mirrored sunnies and clutch for the occasion. I also continued the cutout theme all the way to my feet and opted for a flat boot because, lets just say, desert terrain can be a little unforgiving at times.
